How Long Can diesel fuel be stored in a tank?

Fuel in diesel storage tanks can be stored 6 months to 1 year without significant fuel degradation if you keep it clean, cool and dry.
However, diesel fuel will degrade over time. People often buy more fuel than they need and it ends up in long-term storage. Over time, the diesel fuel will become stale and require reconditioning for safe use. PRD-D could be added directly to the old diesel fuel itself if you know its relative volume. The ratio is 5.6 oz. of either or 0.0625 oz of PRD-D per gallon of old diesel fuel.
